I’m really torn about this review. If it were just about the food, I would give it a 5+; delicious! However, the odd part of our visit was the pricing. We went for lunch, but we weren’t offered menus…instead we were told they were serving a combo platter with chicken and lamb, and after a sample taste of the lamb, we said we’d each take the combo. As I mentioned, it was absolutely delicious, but when we went to check out, I was absolutely shocked that two LUNCH COMBOS totaled $38! No menu, no mention of the price, just sticker shock. It’s really too bad because the lunch tasted so good, but I won’t be going back at those prices.

I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. I see some people complain that it takes too long, but that’s because the food is prepared by a single man with the freshest ingredients. The owner is passionate about making great food for his employees. Go. You won’t be disappointed

How do you adequately express that a restaurant’s food is perfection? This place is super tiny, seating maybe 14 inside and 8 outside, but it is worth the wait for a table. Large quantities of absolutely and supremely phenomenal and authentic Mediterranean food. The hummus is the best I have ever had, and the potatoes defy description. Do yourself a favor and try this place. Your mouth deserves a treat.

Stopped by last Saturday to try out some authentic Greek food. Walked in and it felt like we were no longer in Chattanooga. Went to the back of the small restaurant to a kitchen area and started looking at the menu. Had no idea what would be good or what everything was. The owner/ cook/ server was running out his dishes and everything looked amazing. He noticed we had no idea what to get so he pretty much gave my friend and I a sample of everything on the menu. I was so excited! The Lamb is to die for! He helped us deside what to get and we ended up with two huge plates of AMAZING FOOD. Still not quite sure of the name of everywhere I ate because of the thick ascent. He was so genuine and kind. You could tell this little restaurant is his pride and joy and he will do everything he can to serve the best food and experience in town. He makes most things from scratch. Hes a one man show. Service was fast. I have already told a lot of my friends about this little gem. Ill definitely be going back for more!

Fantastic food is worth waiting for!. I have been a fan of OPA since I first ate there spring 2014. Previously living in Astoria, NYC…this place tops ANY greek restaurant there! This will be the best greek food you will ever taste outside of Greece, BUT you must be prepared for a wait if there are more than 2 tables there (incuding yours). OPA is run by 1 man who is the real deal! I was surprised by a previous reviewer’s negative experience with him, I suspect it may have been a miscommunication due to his thick greek accent-which of course is not common in chattanooga. I have had nothing but excellent treatment, food, and service (sometimes slow but worth it) over my past year eating at OPA! If there are more than 5 or 6 people eating, you should be prepared to wait 1 to 1.5 hours for your entrees, but he usually brings out appetizers first. If you don’t want the wait, go at an off time. The food is delicious, authentic, and it is a great experience. I love the dolmades and the lamb! And if he has chocolate cake out, get a piece with baklava crumbled on top. You can also BYOB. OPA is my favorite place in town!

Customer Service. The owner and apparently sole worker of this restaurant was very rude and disrespectful to me. While the food was pretty good, it took forever to get, which we understood. I went back in to order baklava, and when he was getting it out of the oven he burned his hand. I was concerned and asked if his hand was okay and he misunderstood as if I was saying his hand was dirty, I don’t know. He got very angry and threw the plate, broke it and told me to leave. I was confused and told him I was just concerned about his hand. He would not listen. I got upset and said can I pay my bill, and he said do you think I’d take your money? It was embarrassing in front of the other customers and I left very upset. He was very intense, and as a woman it was unnerving to be treated like that when I was being compassionate. I will never go there again, nor will my friends.

Freshest mouth watering Lamb goodness!. Greek fresh leg of lamb in the park! OPA! Best fresh food I’ve had in a long time. Right at the Coolidge entrance. He’s very skilled and when he tells you to get the leg of lamb just do it because he wants to give you the best he has to offer! Who makes their own pita bread, really? And he gave me complimentary chocolate cake with a delicious coconut chocolate topping. I don’t understand why it’s not always packed here. I’ve eaten everywhere in CHA and this is outstanding. I just wish they were open all day! Greek in the sunshine doesn’t get much better!
