Don’t waste your time. I was very disappointed with the service and the food. I ordered the steak dinner for two, medium rare and it was well done and tough. Potatoes tasted Microwaved.
Excellent food! Worth the drive to Henderson. I live 30 minutes away (Jackson,TN) and I must say the food here is much better than all the chain restaurants in Jackson. They have a great salad bar and the New York Strip steak is my favorite. My wife also loves their filet mignon with shrimp and homemade desserts. We will definitely be going back soon
Great Little Grill. Ive been more than about 100 times over the last 15yrs … 99% of the time my steaks are cooked perfectly (medium rare) hot & pink! always very flavorful & tender. Salad bar is very fresh, with wide variety of topping to choose from. The salmon I recommend WITHOUT the house seasoning, ask for just a lil salt & pepper only. On occasion they have homemade desserts You are definitely in for a treat! Best restaurant in the area to eat a good healthy to home cooked meal. Price is about $15+ person without dessert. BTW I live in New York & when I come to visit this restaurant is top of my list.
Not so great after all!. Went to this place after hearing for so long that it was delicious and all I can say is that I would be disappointed even with no expectations whatsoever.Ordered a sirloin (rare), and the first time I got it, it’s like the steak was cooked well-done in the middle, but the outside was hardly seared! I don’t know about anyone else, but I expect a steak to have some sort of seared outside, whether it’s ordered rare, medium, or well-done. So I sent it back. It looked well-done. Got another steak back, and apparently he barely kept it on the grill. Turns out the problem is more with the meat than anything! I wasn’t going to send it back again, because that wouldn’t fix anything, but rare/medium-rare steak should be pink or red, not grey.Our waitress claimed that you can’t cook it right with a charcoal grill like they have inside, but I grill my own meats and know that just isn’t true. Anyway, she could tell I couldn’t like it and ultimately removed it from our bill. My mother’s (medium) sirloin was a bit better, but still had the same grey meat. Baked potatoes were okay, and the tea was good, but word to the wise: Those aren’t marinated mushrooms on the salad bar, they’re chicken livers. Oh, that was a rude awakening. (WHY are these on a salad bar?)Anyway, we won’t be going back. I expect a lot more from a place calling themselves a steakhouse and charging almost $20 for a 10oz sirloin. You’d be better off using a grill pan on your stove.
Good Food.. We had a good experience here. Had a very good NY Strip here. The food presentation was OK but flavor of steak made up for lack of presentation. Service was good, nothing that wow’ed me but nothing lacking.As with most restaurants in the area the facility was very dated and could use a refresh to set a more professional feel.Would recommend this for those visiting in the area. One of the gems of Henderson.
Awesome steaks!. These are some of the best steaks I’ve had in Tennessee. They always cook it just right to what you order (I order medium). The salad bar is well stocked and the grilled bread is awesome, PLUS you have a great family from the community who runs and owns this place. Just wish it was open for lunch on Thursday & Friday as well.
