Could not have been more disappointed. When we arrived, it was shortly before 3:00PM. We stood by the cash register, behind a gentleman with an oxygen tank, for a few minutes, before a server noticed us and brought us to a booth. A few minutes later, another server brought us our menus. We told him we both wanted the Fajita special ($6.99). He said that ended at 3:00PM. I showed him my watch. Time was then 3:03PM. We said we arrived before 3:00PM, but he didn’t seem to care. I mentioned it was my birthday, and that was one of the reasons we came there to eat. He reiterated that the special ended at 3:00PM. He also didn’t even acknowledge my birthday. We still ordered the fajita meal (charged $10.99) and an enchilada meal with all rice…no beans. Another server brought out the tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa a couple of minutes later. I asked if we could have another bowl of salsa. He said he would bring it out. We never received the second bowl of salsa. The meals were brought out a few minutes later. When I received my enchilada meal, it was half rice and half beans. I stated that I wanted all rice…no beans. He said he would be back. I took a bite of one of the two enchiladas, and there was something wrong with it…other than the bland taste. I pushed the plate to the end of the table, so someone would notice. After a several minutes, no one had come by. I went up to the front and noticed the manager sitting at a table, folding napkins. We had a friend in common, so he knew who I was. I stared explaining my experience to him so far. Within 10 seconds, his cellphone rang. He answered his cellphone while I was standing there. He looked back at me and told me to go back to my table, so I did. After another few minutes, no one came by our table, so I decided to bring my plate to them to address the issue. Two waitresses and a waiter past me while I stood by the kitchen exit. Finally our waiter asked what was the matter. I told him that there was something wrong with my meal, along with there being bean inside of all rice. That seemed to annoy him. He asked it I wanted another meal. I told him to just forget it, since it had been over 10 minutes since I had brought this issue to the managers attention. I asked if I could have an empty plate, because my dinner companion wanted to share. He went back into the kitchen and brought out a plate. Once I received the plate, I started back to the table. When I looked down at the plate, I noted there was still food on it from someone elses meal. I went back to get another plate. The manager, still on his cellphone, asked me what was wrong. I should him the dirty plate and asked for a clean one. He took the plate and asked me to go back to my table. He said they would bring me another one. I went back to the table and waited. Four minutes later, another waiter brought me a small dessert plate. A few minutes later, I had finished my drink. I waited for another 10 minutes, or so, for our waiter, so I could get a refill. When he stopped by our table, he firmly placed the bill on the table and walked away. He didnt ask if there was anything else we needed, or if wanted to order dessert. We wanted to purchase a flan for dessert. When we went to pay for our meal, the manager was at the cash register. I told him that we didnt understand why the service was so poor. I explained we came there to celebrate my birthday, and we would like to know why we were being treated like this. The manager stated that when a customer seems to have an issue during their meal that it is usually better to leave that table alone. I explained what was wrong with my meal, that we couldnt get refills on our drinks, and that we still wanted to buy a flan for dessert. He just stood there with a blank face. No were sorry for the bad experience. No, well make it up to you next time. Not even a Happy Birthday. I have been going to Dos Margaritas since they first opened. The staff used to be so friendly and caring. Even the abeyance was enjoyable with music and the staff laughing. Now it seems like the staff doesnt care, and the music has been replaced with televisions. I will never go back to Dos Margaritas.
