The bread is amazing! My sandwich and handcut fries were fantastic! My husband was not a fan of the French dip (too many onions, not enough meat). He wants to try eating here again, though! Plenty of seating and friendly staff! Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Kid friendly!
Great sand which shop. Wish there were more restaurants in town like this. Menu is very large so no matter what type of mood you’re in, there’s some type of sand which that will conquer your hunger!
While not much to look at, Sax Deli really kick’s it with the food. First, what a menu. From deli sandwiches, to Philly cheeses’, salads, chicken tenders and then there’s the burgers and fries. Everything coming off their flat-top gets a wonderful flavoring from it’s years of seasoning. The exact same meat wouldn’t taste the same cooked anywhere else. Sandwiches are served on really fresh soft bread and buns. Many of them include little sauces that really punch them up. (For example, the sauce served on the side of the bean burger adds a rich punch to that choice not usually found in other places.) Then, there’s the fries. Served in sacks (or should you say ‘Sax’) they are fresh, hand cut shoestring type, perfectly fried to not be greasy but soft and creamy with lots of potato flavor. With the addition of their house blend seasoning salt, I don’t even use ketchup. The staff is great. They are quick with the order taking, and constantly going around cleaning everything in site. What a great group of folks running this place. Treat yourself and go to Sax ASAP!
