Best Sushi and Hibachi in town, and it’s not even close. Wonderful place that we frequent once a week. I think they put drugs in their sushi rolls because they are amazing, and we crave them at least once a week. The land and sea, angel roll, tennessee roll (I add the sauce on the land and sea to it), crunch crawfish/calamari, snow white roll, yum yum, ariel, etc… are amazing. The meat is by far the freshest and best cut of all the ones in Jackson, and the fried rice is to die for.
Not sure. Have been here 2x. The 1st time very clearly told the waiter, I have not been here before, can you tell me about the rolls(sushi)? He simply pointed at the menu – NO help b/c the menu tells you the name of the roll & basic ingredient. NO symbols to say which are raw, cook, how spicy/hot, etc. Since he would not assist (yes he spoke english well) we ordered Bento Boxes which were very good. 🙂 2nd time was a waitress and again I explained had not had sushi here, which were hot/spicy, etc? She was happy to tell us but could not say if was mild or hot, only yes spicy. NOT helpful and as for raw/cooked she said: Oh you’ll like them all. NOT what I was asking. The Katsu and Bento Boxes are very good. No idea about the sushi – need a more user friendly menu for that since wait staff do not answer questoins.
Amazing…. Great experience, great atmosphere, and the BEST food! Great locally owned Hibachi Steakhouse, forget about Outback, change it up! A great, unique experience with top quality food and service. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared in front of you! As good or better than Benihana!
Go to sushi place. This is my favorite place for sushi in town. My favorite is the spicy salmon roll, but I also really like the Inferno roll. If you like nigiri sushi, then try the unagi. Delicious! The little side salad is also very good (doesn’t get much better than ginger dressing). Don’t expect an overly friendly staff, but they are far from rude. I actually like that they just do their job without trying to make conversation with me. I definitely recommend Asahi for the sushi! I can’t say much about the hibachi, it seems to be just like the others in town.
A great place with amazing fresh food
Service needs a lot of improvement. Waitresses lacked courtesy and professionalism. Prices were about the same as the other Japanese restaurants in the area. The signature rolls were pretty good.
Service was very fast, sushi was reasonably priced and the cuts were very generous. Thumbs up!
