While the sushi was decent and averagely priced, the service was terrible. We are sushi novices and are trying out different places in our area. Our waitress was friendly but gave us the wrong roll. It was similar to the one we ordered so I didn’t notice the difference when I was eating it. The big difference was the price. When we got our ticket and brought up the issue at the register, the girl said that we had eaten the whole thing and must pay for it, even tho our server was standing there apologizing and saying that it was her fault. She refused to fix the price difference even tho it wasn’t our mistake. We will NOT be back and I recommend watching what you order very carefully.
The Best Sushi Ever. This is the best sushi bar is Jackson they have or can create a roll just for you if ever there eat the alfredo roll it is plenty and awesome not espensive and yummy, the help there need to get with it on English, But they are elegant in style ,quite ann clean place to eat, Ive spent a foutune there eating ,the salad creamy dressing, egrolls soup is so deliouis
We love eating here atleast twice a week. The sushi is amazing! Very fresh tasting and reasonably priced. I love this place I wish they’d open a place out north!
Cindy. The food is good. The odor at the entrance of the restaurant is something that I cannot overcome. It smells like raw fish all of the time. This ruins my appetite.
Best in Jackson. I didn’t think any Japanese restaurant could top Sakura……but this one did it. Sakura still has very good food and a nice atmosphere, but the service is a little slow and sometimes not the friendliest or the most organized. The thing about Kanpai is that not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the atmosphere is wonderful and the service is PHENOMENAL. Every single time a server walked by our table, whether it was our assigned server or not, they checked to make sure we had everything we needed. They didn’t bother us, but if they saw that our glasses were low, they filled them, etc. They were constantly glancing at our table and getting us what we needed before we ever had to ask for it. It’s easy to see that this serving staff has been trained to do this, and it makes for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend trying Kanpai if you haven’t already. It’s worth a little bit longer of a drive if you love Japanese food. : )
Very clean, fast service, excellent sushi. A nice touch for south Jackson. Good variety on the menu, including items off the grill.
