I really enjoyed it both times I ate there. I wish I could eat there every week:) i had bento boxes both times and they have a nice variety of things to try in them. Everything was delicious!07 Nov, 2012I had take out bento box and it was very good. It is a little on the expensive side but that was expected because most Japanese places are. The portion sizes for take out are large and came with plenty of rice and soup and a variety of sauces, all were yummy!
Great Sushi!. My husband and I are new to Jackson and have been told repeated times Sakura is the best sushi in Jackson. While we have tried Sakura repeated times now, we decided to try out this place. We both agree, hands down, Kanpai is better than Sakura! We have went back to Kanpai for our third visit in a month! While the location isn’t as convenient as Sakura, you can drive to south Jackson and eat at Kanpai far quicker, as the seat time and wait time for rolls is much faster than Sakura. Also, the sushi rolls are just better! They taste fresher and the combination of flavors is great! I have had sushi all across the country…so I know good sushi…and while Kanpai isn’t the best sushi I have had, it is very good. Pleasantly surprised and totally recommend!On side note, the smell outside restaurant is stinky, but it is not raw fish as one reviewer noted. It is the garbage bin right to the side of the door!! Eh.
