Went for dinner with family. Good beer selection on tap. Ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were okay. The gumbo was very flavorful, though, as was my steak, which I ordered blackened. My mother ordered the talapia, which had a nice, clean taste, and my father raved about his shrimp and grits. Not sure why some people knocked the inside, decor, etc. We thought it was pleasant. Servers were also helpful and got everything out to us pretty quickly. — 4.5/5
I used to go all the time. Since the remodel, I’ve been once. It has the feeling that you are dining in Lowes. Awkward large barricade wall prevents you from socializing. Menu is kind of limited if you eat healthy.
It only took one bite into my burger to realize I could have gone to Hardee’s to get one better. THIS PLACE SUCKS! No atmosphere. Super lame.
Redbones has changed a lot in the past few weeks. A total remodel has been doom and they are now completely non-smoking. Very good gumbo. Great $4.99 lunch specials. Friendly staff. Good food. I like this place. BTW – this is not a chain or franchise.
AWESOME FOOD. My wife and I have heard of this place, but never have dined in until recently. I had the scallops and my wife had the shrimp sampler. Our meal was amazing and so was the service! We also had oysters on the half shell. We were skeptical about the oysters at first considering they were out of season, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. I would recommend this place to anyone! We will definitely be back!
Best all around food in Jackson. Especially bayou pasta and Cajun Rib Eye. Daily lunch specials are great and only $4.99.
The salmon is great here. Karaoke on Tuesdays is fun too!
