Cash only. They do not accept cards.11 Jul, 2012Excellent, authentic, fresh Mexican food is unbeatable. Don’t let the grocery store facade spook you, it takes up two storefronts! My favorite: burrito picoso! $7.49 with cheese sauce. I love El Charolaise, but this food is better!
Authentic Mexican Food. La Perla 3 is real, authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is a perfect match to the Mexican restaurants you find in Southern California. Been to La Perla a half dozen times, tried something different each time – awesome. If you like real Mexican food, with a real Mexican restaurant atmosphere where you get a lot of food for a low price – this is the place. Hard to believe that this exists in Tennessee – it is awesome
Different from the rest! Don’t let the store or location keep u from trying it. The salsa and beans are not my taste, sometimes. But we love the rice and all the authentic dishes. It’s cash only…don’t forget.
Looked on line for a Mexican Restaurant close to our hotel in Johnson City. Found La Perla, decided to give it a try. Truly authentic, very friendly, wonderful food, huge portions! Enjoyed every bite but could only eat 1/2, took the rest back to the hotel. Go with a big appetite and consider sharing the dishes. Everything was delicious! I left my phone at the restaurant by mistake, they held it for me and waited for us to get there to pick it up even though it was very close to closing time! Thumbs up for La Perla 3 in Johnson City, TN.
BEST KEPT SECRET. You must try it, i thought i was in mexico, awesome not what you get at all the others, this is the real deal. do not not go by the building or upon first entering, trust me you’ll love it, cheap prices. take cash no credit cards.
Best Mexican Food In Town. This is by far the best Mexican food in Johnson City! And to make it even better, most entrees are $6.95 and have enough food for at least 2 meals! The fajitas and burritos are fantastic and their salsa can’t be beat!
