Has Potential. I’ve always enjoyed the food I have gotten. I have never ordered a pizza; we tend to go for hoagies, soup, individual slices, etc. What I dislike about this location is the lack of good service. Servers have been slow, rude, and not pleasant to deal with on occasion.
No Service.. I love Mellow Mushroom. However we went in there last night, Sunday night, and wereally only the second booth of customers. The host sat us and we waited over 10 minutes. Employees looked at us and passed by. No one even bothered to serve us.
Quick and dirty…the review, not the restaurant. The food? Meh. Nothing to write home about.The beer? On the spot. Cold, and nice variety to boot.The bar? I only know one of the bartenders there, but she’s on top of her game. Check Anastasia out if you can catch her there.

People complain about the price of mellow mushroom pizza. But here’s my opinion. You can pay $1 for a fast food burger or you can spend $10 on a good burger. The same goes with pizza. $5 pizza is not going to compare to a $20 pizza here as far as I’m concerned.
Love it!. Mellow Mushroom is one of my favorite restaurants. Yes they are expensive, but it’s so much better than the cheaper chain pizza places. I love that they have so many unique pizza options, and I absolutely hate that pasty tomato sauce that most places load their pizza down with, so I love that you can get different bases for your pizza here. They also have the best pizza crust that I have ever had, and normally I’m one of those people who doesn’t eat crust.
Way overhyped. I ate here once and was so disappointed that I would never go back. I was excited when this place opened being that I ate at a Mellow Mushroom in Asheville years ago and remember enjoying it, but the pizza at this place was pure low grade disappointment. Dont get me wrong, the place was packed, but I feel that the allure was purely style as opposed to substance. Stoners are drawn to this place due to an image that the Mellow Mushroom represents, which is one of chilling out on weed and shrooms, and I can definitely get down with that. I mean, I want to like this place, but I just dont think the food lives up to the hype, and the prices they charge do not produce good vibes.
