EXPENSIVE!. The gelato is good but far too expensive. I asked how much if I ordered a gallon for a private party and the owner said: $70.00! That should give you an idea how much they charge for a scoop. And their scoop is a lot smaller than a regular scoop from other ice cream vendors.
I used to LOVE this place. the atmosphere was so welcoming. the staff USED to be excellent and friendly. I raved to friends and called it my #1 favorite place to eat in JC. However, the last two times I have eaten there was very disappointing. I took my friend there to eat for her birthday and the staff were so unwelcoming. They acted rushed and bothered. The young guy (dont know his name)(has black or very dark brown hair, i think he had gauges in his ears and tattoos (which were not the problem, just giving description) was VERY unfriendly and borderline rude. BOTH times i came. the other young girl working there was not much better in her personality. I will NOT try this again. neither one of the folks that i took there to eat was impressed, they could not understand what my excitement was all about. I AM SO SADDENED BY THIS!!! Unfortunately, i will be going elsewhere for my soup, and the rude/unfriendly service is not worth the yummy soup and gelato if i have to eat it alone because none of my lunch date friends wants to eat there anymore! just because of the service—boo, and that makes me mad, now. Why cant people justbe happy they have a job and be nice?
Great little shop with wonderful food…gelato is awesome but very pricey 5.25 for two scoops portion size varies with your server, some days its worth the money some days not.
Delicious! Best gelato I’ve ever had in my life (and that’s a lot)!! Such a big fan! I also love the sandwiches and soups as well as the salsa they have sometimes when it isn’t being sold at the Farmers Market. I love this place!

LOVE THE FOOD AND SERVICE. FIRST AND FOREMOST ….( I have read some of the reviews on this site and I’m appalled at some of the things people have said about Mona Lisa’s) Me and my wife have been to Mona Lisa’s like 15 or 20 times and would love to go more if we could..the food is fantastic the soups are homemade from scratch and the daily special’s are always delicious and creative….the staff are friendly and helpful (anybody who says other wise either A: doesn’t have a since of humor or B: just enjoys complaining about small unimportant things) the staff makes us feel like we are family instead of just another couple customer….they try to make us feel comfortable by asking about our day and making small talk which we fully enjoy …..the gelato is made in house….. and is so good….its just like the gelato we had in Italy last year. SO TO THE MONA LISA’S CREW….KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND DONT WORRY ABOUT THE NEGATIVE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE…..
Good eats, hard on the wallet for portion size. Good food, just not affordable. The food was absolutely delicious but the portion was minuscule. if you’re looking for a place to drop some money and not worry about being a little hungry afterward Mona Lisa’s is great! There soups and sandwiches as well as their gelato are amazing, just overpriced for the portion size in my opinion.
