We have gone to this Panera location for years. Yes they are busy at noon, yes parking is hard to find – but the food has always been good. NOT today! Hubby and I each got a salad – his salad bowl was half full, mine was full. His had like three very small pieces of chicken on it, mine had the normal amount. Both of our salads had brown shriveled lettuce pieces through out the salad. You had to look pretty hard to find any dressing. Very disappointed. Are they getting too busy to keep up quality control? Where is management? Not sure we will be back – plenty of other places to go in Johnson City.

The constant crowded condition is a turn off. I still love the food, and Craig, the manager! It’s definitely a popular place in J.C!06 May, 2012French Bagett……yes!. For a chain, Panera is one of my go to favorites in any city. Great salads, but get the dressing on the side. For some reason it is common practice to drown a beautiful salad with fresh ingredients, including fruit and nuts, with way too much dressing. Fresh baked bread is delish. Great sandwiches with fresh onions and tomatoes on many choices of fresh bread. Breakfast here is my favorite. Power sandwiches are my fav. Bakery and fresh brewed tea, also. It’s a combination fast food/sit down and relax, with emphasis on the sit down part.
