Worst service ever. We came her to have a nice meal. We took my cousins daughter and of course my own daughter. first I tried to order the red snapper. of course they were out of it like the the last 4 times in 3 weeks we came here. if it would be a popular place, i would understand, but there is nobody ever there. well, we don’t care and just want to have a good time. right? so we kept ordering appetizers and drinks. our waitress was ok, but already seemd to be fed up with her boss. so, there we go. we ordered chicken on a stick for the kids and asked to substitute noodle for rice. our server said, that they can’t do it. I asked why and she said, the owner don’t allow it. i asked to talk to the owner just to get an explanation. there she was, almost being mad, that we asked a simple question. so i asked her again, why we cannot substitute noodles for rice. her answer was. we cook everything fresh here, thetas why we cannot do it. NO KIDDING. I asked her twice and she just replied the same. We cook fresh here. thats why e can’t substitute noodles for rice.well, from one business owner to another:::: YOU SUCKhow dare of you, not to take care of customers and children.

The decor is absolutely beautiful and the food is just as great. My mother is Thai so I know what authentic Thai food is supposed to taste like. I ordered the Pork Thai Basil. Tasted almost just like mom’s cooking! I was also very pleased with the service. There was less than an hour left before closing when we arrived so I could tell they were rushing around trying to close up for the night which lead our server to kinda rush us out a bit. Besides the rushing, everything is to brag about! If you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out!

Yummy!. We’ve been to Rainbow 4 or 5 times now, and each time has been a delight! The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious! The portion sizes are generous. The restaurant is clean and atmosphere is pleasant. I highly recommend the Xango for dessert with the coconut and green tea ice creams! Oh, so yummy! 🙂

Still nasty!. Was craving Thai food today, and I just remembered how terrible Rainbow’s was. I literally got queasy + goosebumps thinking about it, and we made the mistake of eating there almost two months ago! I would eat a day-old McDonald’s hamburger over their spongy, chicken-shaped mystery meat any day. If you like crappy food, please try Rainbow. You will love it.06 Dec, 2012Gross.. Went to Rainbow after purchasing a $40-for-$20 certificate through ETSU. When we arrived, there was only one other person eating in the restaurant. Despite this, the hostess brought us our drinks immediately and then did not return for another 15 minutes to take our orders. We were the ONLY people she had to wait on! She also did not refill our drinks at any point. Thank god our food wasn’t spicy.Anyway. We ordered the Tom Kah soup with chicken. Flavor was good, but the soup filled with huge, semi-cooked chunks of veggies. And the chicken was spongy and had a terrible texture. We also ordered Gyoza (YUM!), Panang Curry and Pad See Ew, both with chicken. The chicken in both of the dishes was so spongy, it was almost inedible. I’m guessing they buy their chicken frozen? Or maybe it’s ground up chicken meat pressed into the shape of chicken strips? It was disgusting. My pad see ew had ZERO flavor. I had to ask the waitress for a sauce (the garlic sauce we dipped the gyoza in). WIth the sauce, it was still only so-so due to the gross chicken. For dessert, we ordered the Coconut Rice with Mango. The mango (four tiny slivers of it) was pale yellow and SO hard. Obviously not ripe at all. They shouldn’t have even served it.. Why wouldn’t you just recommend another dessert if your mangoes are unripe and inedible??? I am not a picky eater, but this was some of the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant, and the service certainly did not make up for the terrible food. SO disappointed. We won’t be back.

Sam is great!. Went on Christmas Eve because I have had Chinese with my grandaughter every year for her 25 years. We used to go with Gran-Gran before he passed. This year, they were the only Asian restaurant open. I went once before and did not enjoy. But this time, the food was excellent. My husband ate and loved a curry meal. I had eaten too many cookies and sweets , so I just had incredible and perfect hot and sour soup, and outstanding fried egg rolls served with an interesting dressed little salad. The main thing is that Sam made us feel welcome and that we were not irritating them to keep him Christmas eve. We made sure we cleared out before the cleared the table of the other folks leaving to be courteous because he was so courteous to us. Excellent service!

Will not return. This is our second visit to Rainbow Asian Cuisine. We dined at this establishment a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good with an excellent waiter who helped us navigate through the recipe. We returned tonight and I have to say that it will be our last visit. The service was not very good and you could tell that they were obviously working short handed. This in itself was not the issue. The issue was with the quality of the chicken in the dishes that we ordered. I have never had chicken with such a spongey abnormal type of texture. I can honestly say that the texture of the chicken completely ruined each dish. It’s hard to write this review because it draws my attention back to how nasty that it tasted. Pretty place to dine and it seems to be very clean… just still confused on what we ate tonight…..

BEEESST FOOOOD EVER!!!. I do not usually enjoy Asian food and was quite hesitant due to the placement of this fine establishment in a hotel. Despite all skepticism, this past Tuesday i tried it anyway and can not be more impressed. I was greeted by a friendly hostess who got my friend and i some drinks due to the large crowd that was eating. The server came over in surprisingly quick fashion. He was the only one there. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, offered some great suggestions, and was incredibly friendly. I ordered the gyoza, quite delectable, and followed it up with the garlic stir fry for dinner. My friend ordered the Red Curry. We ate all that we could, but still took some home. The portion size was more than generous. We wanted desert, but had no room. When we come back, there will be reservation for some Zyango mmmmmmm.
