Unique and very special. I moved to Johnson City from Asheville, NC and have been missing the small, entrepreneurial restaurant crowd. This place has the perfect blend of atmosphere and delicious pizza. Beautiful brick oven and a provenance of brick oven goodness that would be at home in Berkeley.
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Every time we go we are never disappointed. I would recommend it to anyone who loves pizza and has the time to sit down and enjoy it
Disappointed. My husband and I wanted to eat here since we moved to Johnson City a few months ago. Finally we got the chance. The decor is great but it’s dirty. At least 20 used pizza boxes were stacked up on the trash can behind our table. We came for lunch and were the only people in there so I can only assume they were from the night before. We got the pesto cheese sticks and the pesto was nothing special. The cups of pesto we got to dip had nothing but oil with maybe a sprig of basil at the bottom of the cup. The pizza came out and was decent but not great. We wanted to love this place but unfortunately it was a miss for us.
Atmosphere is great but pizza was greasy and sauce too sweet. Brick oven should mean some crisp to the crust but it was poor.
Unique. The food was excellent. My only hangup was that they had no speciality pizzas of their own. The atmosphere was awesome. It was a little pricey, but huge pizzas and they sell em in a box all ready to take home. Worth trying.
Scratch pizza is AMAZING!! Loved the atmosphere and the pizza is very good! The staff was delightful and we will definitely be back again!
