The service and atmosphere was great. However, the food was just so so. Definitely not worth the price.
Iffy about this place…. I walked in being iffy because my last experience years ago was bad, but decided to go for a business lunch. I ordered coffee and they gave me old cream & tried to persuade me that it was pure cream and that’s what pure cream does, stick to your fingers, uk!! I wasn’t born yesterday, I know they don’t serve cream like that lol. My sister ordered a salad with feta – I am not a dramatic person, but I took one bite and had to run to the bathroom to spit it out. I don’t really recommend this place which is too bad – I would love to have a beautiful hotel in this area you could dine at and enjoy with family and friends and it’s just not that at all.The staff there, especially the front desk, are really rude. I can’t include all, but the main guy behind the counter seemed very snobby and wouldn’t even look our way. Get over it dude – life’s too short to think you are better … go drink some of that coffee – might wake you up a little … ok, now that’s out – I feel better, haha.xo – clover
The bartender totally ignored us….the food was excellent the service wasn’t
Changes. I have stayed at the Carnegie many times over several years. I always ate at Wellington’s at least once while I was in town… but no more. The staff has changed and not for the better. The menu has downgraded in quality and the price has not changed equally. The bartender was a staple and has now since moved on. Overall the quality of service and food is not near to what it was. I will be going elsewhere for dinner.
Excellent choice for dinner; the selection is small but changes regularly enough so that there will always be something new in the menu every month or so, and it’s all well prepared and tasty. HOWEVER, don’t eat breakfast there; over-priced, poorly prepared, little selection, small portions and, most damning of all, boring. I’d rather you drive to Waffle House (seriously).
Nice atmosphere. The food is okay and the prices ridiculous, but I still like it. Without sounding like a jerk, there are a few too many alternative lifestyle types hanging out there.
Service great. Limited menu, but something for everyone. Food very good; steak somewhat over done.
