If you held a gun to my head and made me pick one restaurant to eat at for the rest of my life, I’d happily pick Wheeler’s. The menu is diverse, the bagels are second to absolutely none, the desserts are sinfully delicious, and the staff is always on point and super friendly. You can’t go wrong here.
Unfortunately I dropped by when I had a bad cold and wasn’t able to taste or smell. The food looked great & served piping hot. If it tasted as good as it looked it was fabulous. Clean restaurant. Food is pricey and no combos, so you pay for each item separately. I got the Protein Melt (minus onions) and a drink. Service was fast and professional. All sandwiches served on the bagel of your choice. I picked Asiago. Unable to taste but it was obviously fresh. Soft on the inside and had that crisp crust in the outside. I bet it was delicious. Definitely coming back when I’m over this cold. Things to know: order at the counter, get a number & they deliver to your table. Free wifi
Awesome place, we eat bagels there at least once a week. Everything bagel with plain smear.
The very BEST BAGEL !. Johnson City is so very lucky to have this restaurant !!! I have ordered bagels from New York for years. These are the very thing that I have paid a fortune for from New York. Again, this area is fortunate to have this restaurant .
