The cuisine is pedestrian, at best. I’ve eaten in many, many Mexican restaurants across the country and this one rates at the bottom of the barrel. But, then again, I wasn’t expecting much from a Mexican restaurant in tiny Jonesborough. If you want good Mexican food, I would suggest driving a few miles up Highway 11E to Jonhson City where there are several top-rate Mexican restaurants with cuisine that will make you glad to spend your time and money there. The staff at Amigos could also use a course in wait-staff etiquette. They’re not rude, but could use some lessons in how to be more welcoming, friendly and attentive to the needs of their customers. They give off the vibe of not being very well paid and their collective attitude toward customers reflects that.

C+ could be better. Although not a bad mexican restaurant, your better of driving a few miles west on 11-E to Vega’s Fiesta Mexican Restaurant. Its not El Charlois but Vega’s Fiesta is the best in Jonesborough.
Run of the mill Mexican. When your food isn’t special enough to stand out, you might want to treat your customers better. They accused is of not picking up a call in order from march 2011… almost a year ago. Weve eaten there several times since then dine in and out. Obviously a mistake in their computer but I will not eat there again after being treated like that. If a seven dollar fajita mistake from a year ago is enough to make you bitch at your customers when they call in then you can keep your dirty food and I’ll keep my money.
Loved it the polo loco is graet it’s a nice grilled lives of chicken on rice and great cheese melted in with a nice kick of spice
Typical mexican menu. Service was excellant. Food was good. You can order mild or spicy, spicy has a nice kick! Vaca Flaca quesadillas Rock! Shrimp, streak, chicken in one giant taco served with guac and sour cream and pico with fresh japs. Best Mexican in a long time.
