Best place for sushi. My overall experience with Anabas was thrilling! Amazing staff and great food!
Always good service , food is consistently good . Nice patio to sit outside and enjoy a cool night with friends . The Monday Tuna and Tuesday Salmon specials are an extra added bonus
Awesome sushi and Japanese food! The best in Knoxville! Dont let the greek items on the menu confuse you: The sushi is unique, fresh and delicious! My husband and even my kids agree! Great specials each night, and very rarely do you have to wait to be seated!
We have been to Anaba several times for 2 reasons 1- the sushi is cheap, fast and normally decent, and 2- buy one get one drinks. Well, there’s no reason to go there anymore. Made a reservation for 10 adults and several kids. Even asked to sit outside so we would not bother others. I even called the day of to make sure they had our reservation so we would not overwhelm them. SERVICE WAS AWFUL. Waited a good 1/2 hour before asking the server to take our order. Went in to ask for 1- a fork (for the children at the table), 2- water, 3- where’s our wine, 4- how much longer on the calamari appetizer, which by the way was tiny, rubbery and not worth the wait. Then we had to wait over an hour and 1/2 for sushi on a Sunday night. At this point we were forced to box up the sushi (which by the way was awful and I’ve had MUCH better from the local grocery store). The inside of the restaurant was slow at best so it’s not like they got slammed. And we ordered sushi straight from the menu. If you’re craving sushi and trying to make a call between Kroger or Anaba go with Kroger at least you can pick up some bread, cheese and creamer while you’re there!
Fantastic Sushi. For someone who has enjoyed Sushi around the world, having Anaba rank in my top 3 is pretty amazing. They consistently have great, fresh sushi. Hawaiian Pica, Spicy Tuna Bomber, and their Seasoned Edamame are tremendous.
Best in Knoxville Sushi. Haven’t tried their Greek food, don’t have to, their sushi ROCKS! Excellent squid salad, the sweet mayo sauce on the firecracker roll is the best thing I’ve tasted on a roll. Also try the dippin, smoky mountain, samarai. I try something new every time I come and am never disapointed. My Rank1) Anaba2)Little Tokyo3)Sushi Spot4)Wasabi5)Nama6)TangerineStay away fromShonos in the City, Nori, DEFINATLY TOMO, and most all buffets
-Confused restaurant concept… Be Greek or Japanese, not both.-Attentive server. -Mediocre sushi.
