Great pork as reviewed by everyone. Loaded potato salad was awesome. These folks are doing it right
OUTSTANDING Quality food but pricey. Just made my first official visit to Archer’s Barbeque – Bearden and I purchased four plates (2 pulled pork sandwiches and 2 half slabs) and we had a combination of barbeque beans, slaw, and creamed corn as sides. No one was disappointed in my family as I heard much less talking during the meal and I witnessed far more finger licking. I still hold to my original review that the prices are high but the quality of the food and the service are OUTSTANDING. I have to apologize to Archer’s West as I originally called to place my order there in error but Bearden (where I thought I was calling) professionally jumped in and replaced my order after calling the West location and canceling for me To repeat, as long as the quality stays up, i will be a life-time customer.
Was bland. I’d prefer Buddy’s BBQ especially considering the price. Sides were good but the BBQ was weak. I’d rate them at the bottom in town. Calhouns up the road is far better and Dead End as well not far away.
Been great in the past but… Have loved Archers in the past but today the pulled pork and chicken were on the cold side. Sides were great as always especially the collards. Best in town as far as I’m concerned. Sauces always delicilous but they need to keep the food temp up. Also, a little pricey for what you get. 7oz of meat and two small sides for $14.00 with tax is a little steep. Especially when its almost cold.
Memphis BBQ in Knoxville. Locally owned BBQ restaurant with several locations throughout Knoxville… I’ve only been to the location in Bearden which is on Kingston Pike. The guys working here, especially Mason the mgr, are super friendly and seem passionate about good barbecue. My favorite is the large pork sandwich with baked beans & loaded potato salad. The meat is served without sauce, but there are 6 sauces on every table, each with their own unique taste…so it’s fun changing up the flavors as you eat your sandwich! The loaded potato salad is awesome…a must try ! The decor is a bit like eating in a school cafeteria although is very clean & bright with large windows looking out on Kingston Pike. Our family loves Archers in Karns. Great BBQ with plenty of sauces to try. Don’t forget their greens with a little kick and their sweet potato chips. Oh and my favorite part, as a busy mom, they have a drive through!!!!
Excellent BBQ. Love this place! Great pulled pork and ribs at reasonable prices! Some of the other BBQ joints in Knoxville tend to have fat and veins all throughout the pork – yuck! But never at Archer’s! And the Loaded Potato Salad keeps me coming back also! Probably my favorite thing on the menu! Love the St. Louis sauce if you like spicy BBQ
