Not Worth The Trouble. My friend and I went into Big Fatty’s the other day to use a Half Off Depot voucher. My fish was fried from frozen, not thoroughly cooked inside. I sent it back by our (exhausted?) server(the place was practically empty), who replaced it. Needing to use the last vouchers before they expired, we did two separate orders by phone today. When we got there, the owner told us we called them from the same phone. No matter that they were specified as separate we had to pay an outrageous amount. When I tried to reason with her, she said she was so over it-get out and don’t come back. Would you recommend such a place? We went to Farmer’s Family Restaurant further up Kingston Pike, and were thoroughly pleased with the food, the price and the service. Big fatty’s-Big Loser.
Ordered the Catfish – it was a white fish but NOT catfish. Coffee was aweful. Fries were fabulous. Service was terrible even though we were 1 of 2 tables dining in the entire restaurant. It was 45 degrees outside when we had dinner. Our car was warmer when we left than the freezing restaurant we endured. Disappointing. We will not return.
Funky Funtastic Food!!. I have been going to Big Fattys for some time. They always have unique specials that will make anyone break a diet. Their fried cornbread drizzled with honey cannot be topped. Their appetizers are paired with the perfect adult beverage on their menu!! My favorite salad in all of Knoxville is here. It has peaches, walnuts and blue cheese crumbles with an oil and vinegar dressing. They have good happy hour prices and the servers are real. I don’t know what else you can ask for besides flying pigs ridden by children…they have that too
Merf. Should have read reviews before trying Fattie’s. I’ve had better burgers from Burger King, meat was dry and tasteless. Saw fattie at Kroger today and it looks as though fries and a number of menu items are in the frozen section.Smallest carry out drink cups I have ever been offered, and also had to eat cole slaw with fingers. Guess carry out is not their cup of tea.Would not recommend to anyone.
Horrible horrible dirty and rude.
Don’t waste your time or money in this restaurant. The waiters were EXTREMELY rude. I was in a church group of.13. when we questioned why the tip was figured in the meal And tax our minister was told not to come back. they even treatened to call the police. Word of mouth is the best or worst advertisement. I will never darken their door.
HORRIBLE!. A group of us visited Big Fatty’s, thinking it would be an enjoyable dining experience. WRONG! It was the most HORRIBLE dining experience ever!! Those in our group could not believe how RUDELY we were treated. It is obvious this restaurant has no desire to secure repeat business. Outrageous prices and outrageously rude servers. NO WAY!! NOT AGAIN!! If you’re smart, you’ll stay away from this place!!
