Don’t eat food from Bruno’s!!!!!. Call somewhere else! These people brought us undercooked chicken wings. Hey, no one’s perfecr, right? So we called to tell them so they would be aware since undercooked chicken can make someone very ill, and because we felt they should send us a new, safe, edible order. That accused us of lying, we’re very rude, and refused to make it right. We are talking potential food borne illness here!!! We will stay away and so should everyone else!!!!!
We got a flyer in the mail and read the menu and decided everything sounded really good. we ordered the kids sampler, cheese fries, a regular sampler, a meatball sub and a large pizza.I saw no differnce between the two samplers. there were two of the smallest onion rings I’ve ever seen in both as well as one cheese stick. the breading was falling off of the chicken tenders. the fries were soggy. the cheese fries were just fries that came with a container of cold cheese which was just weird. I had the meatball sub and it wasn’t horrible but it was a little soggy. I’ve had much better. being from New York my standards for pizza are kind of high but the pizza was only a little better than dominos or pizza hut. also I noticed on the menu that they don’t offer real calzones. a calzone is dough with mozerella and riccota cheese as well as any other fillings you’d like. they completely leave out any riccota cheese and honestly its not hard to find or very expensive, there’s no need to leave it out unless you don’t know how to make a real calzone.all together it was not worth the $40 I spent or the hour we waited…
Very good pizza and Italian takeout. Pizza is sort of ny style, which is tough to find in knoxville.
Happily Surprised – thin crust pizza. Lured in by the $5 cheese pizza special advertised on the side of the road, I was pleased to discover a pretty good thin crust pizza. Being a pizza snob with Brooklyn tastes, this isn’t the best pie I’ve ever had, but it is one of the better pizza joints in Knoxville and a true value as well. Purely a take-out joint. Nothing fancy, not wood-fired with fresh mozzerella. Just that tasty & affordable pizza you crave late at night. Two tables outside while you wait or if you want a view of the Arby’s next door. I recommend it for carryout. It’s a 5-minute walk from my house, so I’m grabbing a quick dinner there at least weekly.
