Went to calhouns recently, had the pork sandwich and slaw, first timer sitting in the bar area, not a big fan of the pork, and when I asked for other BBQ sauce was told there wasn’t any, slaw was okay. It was beginning of the week nighttime when I went, there was a woman and a guy working. Guy was nice but the woman you could tell she was arrogant, kind of slow. All and all it’s a nice location just not a big fan.
Food was ok. Fries were actually cold. Ate in the bar and was treated like a second class citizen. Normally a good tipper, not so much tonight.
Service is better than Calhoun’s at the Marina. Food is still just meh. I wish Calhoun’s would update their menu. It’s still so1983… Actually, almost the same menu as when I worked there in 1989. I still don’t see the big deal. I wish someone would explain it to me.
Good Food Excellent Service. Every time I have been to Calhoun’s the service has been Excellent. I am very fond of their catfish and the spinach Maria is excellent. While there ribs are very good (in my opinion only) I’m afraid I like Famous Dave’s ribs better than Calhoun’s. Sorry about that Calhoun’s – but you all should be proud of the level of service you provide and your food is still very good! Great job and Thanks!
The people were great but the food was dry and gross. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

Comfortable, dependable restaurants with dishes soon to become your favorites. Excellent service.. Great bar area & warm, friendly restaurant with contemporary, urban vibe & trappings. Naked wings are delish! Have never had a bad meal experience at Calhoun’s. Totally reliable.
