Cappuccinos This meal was a sponsored wine dinner for 40 people. As such, it is a test for the skill of the kitchen and the planning and coordination between the front and back of the house. While it does not represent the full menu, it does reveal what the kitchen can do with a set menu and covers.Service was adequate, albeit a bit slow due to the kitchen and limited servers (3). There were a limited number of wine glasses, so patrons were encouraged not to linger over the wineThis was advertised as a Tuscan Wine Dinner. The appetizer was Mamas secret recipe meatball, a tennis ball size serving of well texture, mildly flavored meat, typical of Southern-Italian American fare, not Tuscan. Nothing special, and it could well have been a commercially made product; there was nothing to indicate it was inhouse made. The tomato sauce was under reduced and a bit watery. The poached pear salad was overly sweet from the honey poaching and dressing. The candied pecans were all sugared and tasted not at all like nuts. Far from refreshing and palate cleaning, it was cloying and near numbing. The secondo was veal saltimbocca, a Roman dish. In this mis incarnation it was two commercially made compressed veal patties (the same that appear in many Italian restaurants as Veal Parmigiana) with some prosciutto, perhaps a leaf of sage, served over a rice mush that was billed as risotto and covered with gloopy melted cheese, neither of which EVER accompany saltimbocca It was barely edible. The Tiramisu wasnt. The disintegrated lady fingers were drowned in an overly sweet, saucy white concoction. Texture less, no distinct flavors, carelessly prepared. A fitting ending to the meal.If this is the best the restaurant can do with a set menu and know number of guests, I can not imagine a reason to patronize.

If your looking for someing other that the same ole Itailan fare, then you should try Cappuccino’s! My wife and I dined here last weekend for the first time in a long time. We have not been here since the renovation several years ago. I orderd the Pasta Gnudi and it was GREAT! The meat sauce was so good. My wife ordered the Wild Mushroom Ravioli and it was just as good. The waitstaff were attentive and polite and the atmosphere was relaxing. This is our new favorite place to go on a night out.

PRETENTIOUS DINING…FOOD Not GreatFirst, I was visiting from out of town. I’ve been blessed to visit top notch restaurants everywhere including places like Dallas and Los Angeles where pretentious behavior is often observed. I wanted to laugh at this place pretending to be something it is not. First, the guy asking if we have reservations like the place was packed, was a joke. We made reservations just in case but the Italian restaurant was empty. I don’t believe there is a place for the ear piece. My biggest issue with this place was the fact that we out of towners decided to try the place. We were ignored by management and we observed a female who I believe was either a manager; possibly owner ignoring my table but catering to a table whose daughter is about to have their rehearsal dinner at this place. What I observed was the staff ignoring the small tables of two people and checking in with everyone. who had more than two people. Our waiter checked on us because he had to and one girl took our empty plates. However; not once were we ever approached by management. Pretentious Restaurant Personnel, get a grip. I will not come back due to your ridiculous behavior. Yes, your lasagna was good. Your chef did a good job preparing the lasagna. I can’t say the same for the Prime Rib which was tough. There needs to be more demi glaze and a healthy vegetable should be part of this meal and not all the roasted potatoes. Too many potatoes. Not a good balance. I don’t plan on coming back. What is lacked in substance is to be compensated by bad service.

Limoncello martini and spicy shrimp pasta! Absolutely delicious – shrimp was super fresh, pasta was perfectly cooked! Great service by Eric – thanks!

Dinner here this week. Was surprised at the amount of space inside when I saw all the cars in the lot. At 7:00 pm I was seated right away. The dcor is what I would say is Modern Italian. I wasn’t concerned as I was there to eat but it was comfortable.Service (Andrew) was very attentive and timely. I had the seafood manicotti as pictured. The dish was very good and I was told the pasta is made in house. The stuffing had a good amount of cheese and especially crab. Fresh I can attest as I did get a shell or two but nothing horrible. The shrimp were more sparse. I did see a couple more interesting appetizers that would be nice on a return trip.Price on entre ranged from $15 (pasta) to meat @ $29. I think the value was there based on preparation and quality of food. Will work on another visit in the future.
