A fan of Cardin’s. I’ve eaten at Cardin’s on many occasions in the past three years. I’ve tried a number of items, but keep ordering the chuckwagon, which is a country-fried steak sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. Very yummy. I usually get french fries, which are institutional pack frozen fries, but the frying oil is very fresh and they salt the fries perfectly. I’ve tried the fried mac and cheese, which is very good but very rich, and their chocolate malts. Cardin’s does terrific drive-in food!By the way. this is a great place to go eat after a swim at the wonderful Carter pool, just up Asheville Highway, in the summertimes. Just like growing-up years all over again!

Love their burgers, shakes (chocolate, peanut butter) and dipped cones. I have always enjoyed Cardins as a child and this place hasn’t changed in my opinion. Can’t get a bad item on the menu.

Memories and a Peanut Butter Shake. I grew up in the area and if you’re looking for an old-fashioned, curb service place, go here. We used to sit outside on the picnic tables near the bathrooms back in the day, but now I usually stay in the car. There have been changes even in my lifetime (less than their 45 years), but I can tell you the Peanut Butter Milkshake is still worth the trip. If you’re watching your waistline, steer clear. Fortunately for me, I’m not!

45yrs and counting. Been eating here since high school, love it. All these folks that give it a thumbs down…..well u don’t hav to come back! Those of us that grew up with it, love it. Service is so quick u don’t have time to search thru the menu. I love the cheeseburgers myself. This place is always packed! After 45 years they must be doing something right…..I believe I have just talked myself into a trip to Cardins!

Not for me. Stopped in for some dinner one day a couple weeks back. And although this was not horrible I think there are better options for a burger in the area. Seating is all outside and franlky not too comfortable. Service was good but the quality of the food is just average. I had a burger and onion rings. Neither were that great and the rings were over done. No I did not try to send them back as that is not what I do generally. The dinners appeared to be mostly from the area and the cars pulling in and out around you give pause to think about a possible accident sometime.Overall gets a 2 outta 5. Granted I now see that they are more noted for the shakes and desserts.

Best milkshake I’ve ever had!. I always order a peanut butter milkshake at Cardin’s. Always. My boyfriend lives about 5 minutes away from the drive-in, and every time I go to his house, we have to make a stop at Cardin’s just to get milkshakes. I live 45 minutes away, but this milkshake makes the trip worth it every time. I don’t know what they do to make it so good, but it is fantastic. I haven’t tried any of the others, however my boyfriend always gets chocolate and loves it. We also have gotten dinner twice. I got fish and chips one time and a fish sandwich the other. Both were absolutely fantastic. The fish is cooked so perfectly and is so amazing. Another thing we get often are the fried pickles. I’m not usually a fried pickle fan, because they’re usually too salty, but Cardin’s fried pickles are perfect. I LOVE them. This place is great. Absolutely delicious.

Excellent fast food and great sweet tea. Awesome stuffed peppers! They also have homemade food but had not tried it, and the soft served ice cream seems to be very popular. Very prompt and courteous service and a very welcoming, classic setting. They even have t-shirts for sale. I had to have one! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!!
