My wife and I have eaten at this particular Charley’s Steakery for 15 years. I am also very disappointed in the decision to not have fresh cut fries. It is obious that there are many changes that have been made that are poor decisions. We won’t be back and I’m sure that others feel the same as we do. There was a Charley’s Steakery in Sevierville that dropped the hand cut fries. They started dropping customers also and now they are no longer in business.
I would like to have my Philly Steak back the way it was….. I don’t like the new Philly Seak sandwich, it does not taste the same. They have changed the bread which is more bread and less steak. The tea did not taste the same. I hate that corporate has changed the sandwich and all of the individuals I use to know don’t work there anymore.I also don’t like the two registers because everyone is stepping over the other customers to go forward. I was on the left and the customer next to me had to move around me to go forward. Hate to see that the other people retired but I am happy for them. They worked hard to give great service. Please go back to what it was…. thanks

Now corporate owned……. Menu changed, cheese changed, and no more fresh cut fries. Had been my favorite philly for years. Its sad when such a good place makes such horrible decisions. I just hope the employees aren’t as horribly affected as the customers. I wish the previous owners the best of luck in whatever they do. Thanks for the delicious memories.
Good concept poor execution. Had the classic Philly cheese steak sub. it all appears good and nice but the meat had no flavor and was dry. weird for it to be like that for me. the cheese you could barely taste. I included the gourmet fries with it. I really don’t see what is gourmet about it. fries are not crispy but soggy once again no taste in cheese and the bacon is more in flavor of heated up bacon bits.
I doubt this review gets posted however this needs to be said. This is my first review ever in life. The food at Charley’s was awful. The presentation was spot on however the taste was unbearable. The chicken in my sub tasted like it was marinated in dirt. And the fries were greasy and tasteless. The only thing that saved me was the sweet tea. It was perfectly brewed. DO Not Eat there!!!!!!!
The best subs in town!! Employees are so nice! Always stop here when shopping at the mall!
