Great Food and atmosphere!!!. I have been visiting El Chico for over ten years and it is by far my favorite place for mexican food anywhere! The white queso and fajitas are the best in Tennessee and the open floor layout and cozy patio are extremely accommodating for parties of all sizes! I drive 40 minutes to eat at this location just for the service and quality of food!
It’s OK. Food was OK. Service was SLOOOWWW. I’ll probably come back at least one more time and give them another chance.
Great food, horrible service. Last night was the second time I tried this location, I had an el chico in my hometown but they closed it so I was excited to get to eat it again because I loved it. the food is great. I love Mexican food and love everything I’ve ordered here. I know Fri nights can be busy but it took 50 minutes to get out food. that’s insane. the server forgot to put our order in I’m sure but didn’t admit it of course. we knew something was up when people around us kept getting their food and they arrived way after us. he wasn’t very apologetic til the check was brought and that was too late. he also messed up one of our orders but brought back the correct one quickly. just say sorry and admit fault and I can forgive easily. ugh if the food wasn’t so good I probably wouldn’t go back.
Don’t waste your time. Mediocre food, poor service (at the bar, no less), overpriced food. I should have known better than to come here, especially since I heard Dave Hooker advertising it.

Disappointing!. So excited to hopefully find a good Mexican joint..very disappointing–will not return. There were maybe 3 other tables being waitied on during the late afternoon…food took FOREVER to be served. Food was barely edible and it was not cheap….use your hard-earned bucks elsewhere…Sorry, El Chico, you must give better service and improve the quality of your food.
THIS PLACE SHOCKED ME. From the outside this place was a great curb appeal but when you enter the place the nightmare begins the food took forever to come out the waitress was rude and asked me for my id [I’m in my 40’s she must of been blind ] when finally the cold dry food arrived you could see that it was reheated so many times the whole place was such a let down it sent my food back twice and in the end I told the very waitress does she really want me to pay for this as after 90 min’s and some rubber nachos I call for the manager he told me I had to pay for the pleasure of waiting for food when it did come was worth a dollar never mind the $46 check he informed me if I did not pay he would have to ”call the cops” I gave in to avoid a long story with the law and left this place in a hurry with a empty stomach ,over this place would rank 2/10 and that’s being kind 2 for the nice exterior …CHEF SCULL
