11/28/2015 – My wife has begged me to try Golden Garden for some time now, but it is on the other side of town and I finally gave in. The building and decor is nothing to look at, but the food is good. There is a lot to be said for Chinese restaurants which actually make the food to order instead of leveraging buffets. The food quality just isn’t as good.I ordered the Spicy Chicken, steamed rice, egg roll, and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup is good–it has the right amount of bite. The entree was tasty and temperature hot when served. The egg roll was also quite good and retained its temperature as well.I will definitely return for another meal!
Hands down the best Chinese I have Tasted and awesome friendly staff! Quick and convenient would recommend to anyone that wants to try somewhere new!
Our favorite place. This is our favorite restaurant in Knoxville. It is the definition of a whole in the wall, and with that gets the credit for one of those amazing little finds. Surprise! Delicious!. You would never see it coming from the looks of the place but oh…my…gosh…this place serves phenomenal, fresh, and delicious food. The menu has almost everything you are used to seeing on a Chinese restaurant menu but they do it so well!
Great place. Fantastic food, friendly staff. The only issue at all is they need to hire a waiter but that is minor. This place uses actual white meat chicken. Their soups are good. They make their own duck type sauce and is great. I highly recommend trying this place out (lunch time has much better specials).
Very out of the way location, very small, in a rundown shopping center, but ignore that… The food is delicious, high quality products, brought to the table piping hot. The prices can’t be beat, either.
Really good!. We have had a hard time finding a consistently good Chinese restaurant in Knoxville. A friend recommended Golden Garden and we are very glad they did. I love beef and broccoli and they make the best I’ve had anywhere. Soups are good. Rice is good. Everything is on the money. Very friendly service, too. Do yourself a favor and try it. You can thank me later.
