Save yourself the hassle and go to Cracker Barrel or Waffle House. This place is a mess. Slow service, even with 3 other tables in the WHOLE restaurant, lack of attention and poor quality food. 2 of our meals were dropped off at our table without the separate plate of pancakes or French toast. After we were done the waitress brought our check (never checked up on us) and we noted that we never got ‘half’ of our entrees and asked for 1/2 off both meals. We were able to get that resolved but when we went to pay the restaurant did not have enough change to break a $100. What????. Anyways, will check this place off our list and stick with Waffle House and Cracker Barrel.
Not their normal good service and food today. Pancakes tasted doughy, or not cooked. Manager had them redone and 2nd order was the same. No one came back to ask if the new ones were better. The coffee decanter didn’t work properly and when we pored from it, the coffeee went all over the table. Had to wait for service and finally had to go find someone. Our waitress brought out the food and asked us if everything looked OK and if we needed anything else, but never came back to check, until we flagged down someone about the coffee urn problem. The manager tried to make it right by a refund on one order of pancakes, but this will keep me away.
Won’t Be Back. We usually have a good experience at IHOP, but today was an exception. We sat down and the first thing we noticed was the table and booth seats were dirty and had not been cleaned from previous customers. The syrup bottle was caked with dried syrup and looked gross. The waitress did go get a rag and clean the table, but it kind of sets the tone for the visit. We placed our order and waited a long time for the food to arrive as the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The waitress never came back to check on us until end of the meal to bring the check. After our waitress never came back to take the payment, another waitress asked if we needed anything and actually took our bill and cashed it out so we could finally leave. I watched the manager wander around by the kitchen not doing much while we were sitting there. He could maybe look around at the tables and see what needs done, if the wait staff is busy and help get people on their way.
Well I can’t seem to find the Oak Ridge location, so this will have to do. I had not been to ihop on I know 20 yrs and in thy time it looks like the food and service have gone to the dogs. Very bad food,cold tasteless food. Bad coffee and they sad they were out of creamer. Come on this is ihop and ther out of creamer not to mention there open 24 hrs. Somebody could have run to walmart or some, I mean really.
From good food to great service, ihop at lovell road is a fab place to spend a morning. As a bonus, entertainment is free too if you get the singing sensation and resident sweetheart to wait on you! Ask for olga!
