Decent decor, friendly service, the food, oh the food. I believe bland is a good descriptor it’s like a nursing home decided to open up a Chinese restraint.
Great service, large portions!. My family and I have eaten here several times. It is convenient to our home and my wife likes the food. I am a bit more demanding but there are many high points about this restaurant that do put it above others. The dining area has always been clean on our visits. The service is very friendly and informal. We feel like extended family when we dine in. The portions of food are quite generous. My wife and I will often split one of the specials with an extra egg roll, crab rangoon, and cup of soup. The level of seasoning is on par with other restaurants in Knoxville which leaves it a bit on the bland side. I have come to assume that is because of the particular palates of the area not being used to heavily-seasoned dishes. What a pity. Properly seasoned food is a pleasure. I am sure I will eat here again.
We’re sitting inside Lotus Garden as I write this review. The decor is nice, but, alas, the decor was the best part of the meal. Bland thom yum soup and wonton soup, soggy egg rolls, and bland pad Thai. The lone lunchtime waitress was efficient but terse. Overall, disappointing. Wnt come here again
The atmosphere gives you a mom and pop type feel with a feel good attitude from ALL the employees! My wife and I eat there numerous times and really enjoy the food plus they welcome you and remember your face to show they care! Amazing place that I highly recommend!
Very good food and reasonable price
We are always satisfied with the food when we eat at Lotus Garden. The food is hot, well-seasoned, and fresh. Even though I can say I’ve had better– when I lived in Washington, DC– I can’t say I’ve had better in Knoxville.
I eat at Lotus Garden all the time and love it. The staff is friendly and the food tastes great. The Japanese place next door that I think is owned by the same people is excellent too. The dinner entrees are huge! Love the amount of food I get for what I pay here. The red curry dish they do with potatoes is awesome!
