I’ve recently started coming to Mi Pueblo and it is absolutely incredible . This is REAL Mexican food and it is not your typical Tex Mex that you find at 99% of the other Mexican Restaurants. I enjoy that I’m typically the only gringo in the place when I eat. Love the music videos they play on the TV’s. If you have not been here you need to give it a try. I recommend the carnitas burrito which is huge, full of pulled pork, onions and peppers that have been grilled perfectly with a slight char. Weekends they have caldo de res which is a beef soup. When I’m not traveling I try to eat here once or twice a week. There are so many other dishes I want to try. Please note that this is a very Mexican place and that many hardworking Hispanics eat here. It also helps to know a little Spanish or understand what the items are on the menu. Give it a try and it will be one of those places you will want to take your friends and show what really good food is.

This is what Mexican food is about – there is no other Mexican place like it in Knoxville. You eat it with a sense of desperation, because you won’t taste something this good from any other Mexican establishment in town. The carnitas, enchiladas, and tacos are awesome…and the prices are fair.
