Classic old-school red-checkered-table-cloth red-sauce Italian restaurant, that feels like it’s straight out of Lady and the Tramp. If you’re wanting a classic Italian place with classic Italian fare than this is the place. Not a lot of surprises here.
Naples, a Knoxville staple, is as wonderful as I remembered. I had the Scallops for my entree and the three of us shared the fabulous eggplant appetizer that our server recommended. It had feta cheese, tomatoes, capers and a balsamic glaze drizzled on it. Honestly, I could have made a meal of the appetizer. Charming and yummy.
The food was pretty good but the decor is out of date. The antipasto appetizer was a little disappointing. Fried eggplant appetizer was really good. Overall a good experience so I will be going back.
Good food. Sauces (red and blonde) were delicious. Fresh bread was really good too. Prices were reasonable.
Quaint. Have had good food and not so good food here, but always enjoy when I stick to what I know will be good.wish desserts were more interesting and homemade rather than with Hershey’s syrup
Best manicotti I’ve ever had!. Beef and spinach manicotti was fantastic……atmosphere is dated….felt like I was back in the 70s, but food made up for it.
Best Italian in Knoxville. Two words – Specials menu. Ask for it. It changes daily and you cant go wrong with it. Period. The bread and butter at this place are addictive, watch yourself. The staff is down to earth and make you feel at home. 5 dollar spaghetti on Mon. and Wed. is as good as any deal you will find in the US of A.
