Every time I patron this restaurant I regret it. We were seated at a booth at the bar. The bartender is completely inattentive. We ordered drinks and were treated like an inconvenience. I had to get up twice to go to the bar for waters and our checks. Another server passed by at one point. I stopped her to ask for help and she said we were not her table. I live very close to this restaurant. I have been there (including this occasion) three times in the last 3 years. It is consistently disappointing. The staff clearly attends to regulars and has no interest in attracting other customers. The food is mediocre at best and the service is terrible. I’m convinced the only reason people go here is out of connivence.
Excellent service, great cocktails, and good food. Overall an excellent value. What more can you ask for…local owners, yes that too!
Did Not Like It. Service was good. Food wasn’t. I got Crabcake sandwich and it was terrible. My husband got the cheeseburger. Food was bland….Fries were hard as a rock. Will not be eating there again.

One of my old favorites was a terrible disappointment. My husband and I went to Parkside last night with another couple. The service was good and the atmosphere was okay, although only half my food was edible. I ordered two appetizers: fried pickles and the filet bites. The pickles were fantastic, as usual. They could never get the filet bites right, though. They looked very unappetizing (*not* steak color, not grilled looking, oily, fatty, etc.) and tasted even worse. One of my dining mates who knows what this dish used to be like at Parkside tried them and said the same thing. They were chewy, rubbery and bland. The cut of meat was terrible – it wasn’t the nice, lean, tender steak tips they used to serve. I sent them back, and even the waitress said they looked bad. The second try was no better. They came out in less than five minutes and looked like they had been in the fryer, and not in a good way. I couldn’t eat them. They said they would comp them, which was admirable, although it took them two tries to get my bill right.Nobody in our party seemed too excited about their food. It’s a shame – this used to be a good place.P.S. I inquired about a cucumber martini they had listed on the special board at the entrance. It was 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and the bartender informed our waitress that they were out of the main ingredient – cucumber vodka. Seems like they would have taken it off the special board that greets you at the door, no??
Great service. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and the food is good and the service is even better.I went in for a to go order today and was very pleased with my service and how anxious the staff was to make sure I was satisfied.Thanks for the good work! I would highly suggest the spicy ranch with some onion rings!
