1/30/2016 – I think Shono’s is a hidden gem. The times I’ve been in, there’s not a crowd of people and the food is cooked to order (Hibachi style). I disagree with the food being dry and flavorless – the fried rice and chicken entree is quite good.Service is a bit slow but the food is prepared when ordered, so the food quality is much better than one would see on a buffet. The meals are reasonably priced and two meals ran $22.50 which is pretty decent.I’d like to see a bit better lettuce (no white sections) in the ginger salad and the shrimp sauce a bit sweeter (instead of horseradish based). But overall, a good eat.

Just ok…. My wife and I went there last night. We commented that the atmosphere was like an Asian Waffle House. The food was just ok. I’ve had better at the food court at the mall. They don’t have sushi… There were 3 other people waiting for their food when we got there and it took 45 min to get our food.Probably won’t go back.

Disappointing. Generally hibachi grilled food, dry and no flavor. I could do better at home. Will not be returning.

Good food, Nice Price, Fresh Sushi. So went there for lunch today. Had a good taste on the chicken entree and was very filling. I also ordered tuna nigiri. The rice was just right vinerger and wasabi and the tuna was very fresh.Over all if you are not eating here then I think you are missing a good cost conscious west Knox eatery
