Good But Average. Read a few of the reviews and I have to say that I disagree about the service. Everyone has their ups and downs, and I guess some people went on the wrong day and got the wrong person. The waiter at my table was friendly, neat, tidy, and prompt at bringing our appetizers and meal. However, like everyone else, there are some downsides. If you are looking for a place with special rolls topped with anything and everything, go to this restaurant. Just do not expect a cheap price. Most of the rolls ranged about $11 – $17. I have tried their special rolls and they are pretty good. Then again, that was back when I did not understand the taste of sashimi and nigiri. I was looking for a dish such as a chirashi, sashimi dinner, ikura don, and other traditional sushi dishes. To my disappointment, there was nothing but special rolls, appetizers, makis, and a few choices of nigiri. I tried their tempera which was amazing. Next, I ate a salmon maki, tuna maki, and yellowtail temaki. All of which tasted fresh, not the best, nonetheless fresh. Food was overpriced for the quality and perhaps I expected too much because I was told this was the best sushi in East Tennessee. All in all this place got a 6.5 out of 10.
North Knox Niche. This place gets mixed reviews. Its small but cute. Most of the servers are new to the job, and the turnover is pretty high. We’ve eaten there 5 or 6 times, and have always been seated and served within reason. It;s the only place to get sushi in North Knox at the moment, soit’s kind of pricey for the the quality, but has always been fresh, and the staff has been pleasant. No booze served. Just beer. When you’re dining out folks, you often get what you give, so be nice and friendly, and your service will usually reflect it. 3.5 stars out of 5
My husband and I were in a date. We got out table, took 10 mins to get our drinks another mins to get our orders. Keep in mind the place was not busy at 7:00 pm. Now we know why! We waited 50 minutes for our before we got up and left. The hostess wanted to give us a gift card we didn’t except that offer. If we had to wait 50 mins how long would we have to wait next time?
This place is very good and the selection is lovely. Better prices than Nama.
