Tomo has been my go to sushi place generally because of location. Always a great deal on rolls and sake for happy hour…. Went in the other day after a recent remodel of the restaurant and all the specials were gone. Quizzed the bartender and she acted dumb and looked at the apparent manager…came across to me the restaurant didn’t even have a happy hour anymore…. Likely looking to jack up folks bills to pay for the restaurant remodel…. I went across the street for my sushi…. Hope these people get a clue or run off the manager dude I had never seen before… Will check on the joint next time I’m in the area…generally had very good luck with this place…

Many great Tomo memories over the years. A must on any legitimate best Japanese restaurant in Knoxville list. Tomo is on a shorter list in my opinion because they are above average on the sushi and the non-sushi (tempura, hibachi, etc.) and some in the area are either or in comparison. Service is always pro-style.

The sushi was really good. The speciality rolls are super big. We went on a Friday night and the service was super slow but the waitress was really nice. The place is also opened until 3 am which is interesting.
