They serve dirty shrimp!!! They do not devein the shrimp before bringing them to your table. GROSS!!! For the amount they charge the shrimp should be clean. I should not have to clean my shrimp before eating it. I did not enjoy my food and will not be back!
7/25/15 – I can’t believe I’ve lived in Knoxville for 7 years and never visited Wasabi. We decided to celebrate a bit because of my daughter’s new job starting in a couple of weeks. Of course set at the grill…why go if you don’t?Our chef wasn’t bad (I’ve seen better)–the other guests at our grill wasn’t obnoxious or anything, so overall good experience. One of the young girls at our grill table worked at Wasabi and she was there celebrating with her parents and friends. The chef showed them a bit more attention than our party–not bad, but it would have been better to be a bit more evened out.The price was standard Japanese steakhouse–about $15-25 per plate depending on the proteins ordered. The chef could have backed off the teriyaki sauce a bit–it made the food really salty.Wasabi is nice for an occasional treat for the family and I would go back!
Just got back from dinner with my family. My only regret of the evening was failing to get the name of our hibachi chef so I could call and tell management how fantastic he made our evening. I consider Japanese stakehouses a treat since they tend to be pricey, and this experience was the best I’ve ever had in one!
Bad watress. Waitress wrote our order wrong. 4 people in our group, two orders were wrong. we did not get chicken or steak. Only two pieces of scallops and one piece of shrimp. Great chef he did a good job entertaining and what food we did get was good. The manager apologized but did not adjust our bill
Foodtaster. I like to sit at a booth by the bar and order rather than be at the mixed people cooking top big tables when I’m with only a couple of people. This is my favoritte meal at Wasabi’s two locations: I get the Red Snapper with Terreiki sauce and ask for their Hot Sauce to put on in. Spicy and terrific tasting that way. I ask for extra Salad dressing to put on my rice and vegetables instead of the Shrimp and other sauces. Several of my friends like their sushi and the times I have tried the sushi, it was very fresh and good.
Glenda’s Birthday. Took step daughter for her 17th bday. Was awesome. Dinner and show. Cook was very funny. so much food. a bit pricey but worth it
When I come here I always get sushi. That actually have an American that work here! He is the best in my opinion. His rolls and sashimi look the best of all of them. If you come here, ask for his special roll, it is phenomenal!!!! Would definitely recommend coming here. It’s way better than Nama or any other place in Knoxville!
