13 ladies traveled from lenoir city to maryville hoping to have a great meal. the food was nearly tasteless. my reuben had a couple of thin scraps of corned beef, one very thin slice of cheese(tasteless), a bit of sauerkraut and some very poor imitation of thousand island dressing. my vegetable soup was close to taste free with a few frozen vegetables in a less than tasty tomato base.our server did not offer dessert after giving us our checks. all 13 will not recommend nor go back again. our order took almost 30 minutes to come out and we had to help sort out who got what.all in all, a very poor excuse for quality, lack of quantity, and long delays. but a lovely drive in the mountains made up for the poor experience.
A table worth sitting at.. I cant believe I have passed by this house for all these years. Good food without a lot of excessive filler ingredients(iced tea not bogged down with sugar, cole slaw not swimming in watery mayonnaise, etc.). Very hospitable hostess and service. Nice clean and cozy interior. The homemade chips are the truth; make sure you try them, even if you are not a big potato chip fan(which I am not). Not many shortcuts taken here, and I try to eat at as many places like that as I can find.
Quaint Place, Great Food!. This is a real gem that you could easily pass right by when driving by all those older houses going down 411; so, when you do pass it, please do a U-turn in the closest, safest spot and do not miss this place! Olivia Sipes is the owner and chef and… wow, does she know how to make great food! Too many unique, yummy items to list, but the cold strawberry soup is one that has a permanent place in my food memory. You must go!
Love Miss Olivia’s!. Took my wife here for our 39th anniversary and we both loved it. Food was very good and Miss Olivia is one of the best and nicest hosts we’ve ever run across at any restaurant. It was such a treat to dine with her and we will definitely be returning!
