Very disappointing meal and awful experience here. It was a bit more expensive than I would usually pay as a traveller on a budget but thought I’d have a nice meal tonight. I ordered the salmon with rice and green beans and said I was vegetarian (but eat fish). We waited at about 40 minutes for our meals until my friends got their meals. My meal still hadn’t come out when my friends were finishing there ribs, chicken and burger so I had to go and ask the waiter. When they brought it out the salmon was overcooked, the rice was hard (I imagine not cooked properly) and tasted horrible and the green beans had bacon (more like bacon fat) mixed all through them- after making it clear I was vego and my meal was already so late. To finish off the experience my friend then had glass in her drink and split her tounge. Annoyed I wasted my money on this place
The live band was awesome. The food is overrated & expensive for the quality. Requested hard fried catfish & it was soft. Meatloaf entree was stingy with the gravy & there was a charge for extra gravy. Mediocre food & rude bathroom attendant. Overrated in my opinion.
Great atmosphere with awesome music (house band), but the food is average at best. 🙁 I was quite surprised and disappointed with the food.
Went to a few BBQ joints in Memphis & I really enjoyed this one. Great atmosphere, perfect service, great local musicians on stage & the food was divine!!!
Great place! I didn’t eat here but I did order drinks. I had a blast chilling out and listening to some blues music from local legend Preston Shannon. Sadly the great B.B. King passed away a couple months ago. But his legacy lives on in places like this where night after night blues music is still being played on Beale Street. foodartandculture.com
The BBQ was decent, the drinks were good, the music and entertainment were what made for a great dinner experience. I mean, this is what I came to Memphis for all wrapped up in one spot!
Horrible Service!!!. After making a reservation and rushing to make sure we arrived on time we were terribly disappointed once we were there. We sat down and waited for several minutes before having to go to the front and speak with someone about getting served, we were told before getting to the restaurant that the kitchen closed at one am and once we arrived at twelve forty five and seated the first couple of people said the kitchen was closed. After confirming with the manager that we would be able to order, we again waited for several minutes, we finally decided to go find a waitress and was told by one that she was done for the evening and she would send someone else over. Again we sat and waited until we had to get up and try to find someone else and he stated that he didn’t know the previous young lady was gone and that he’d be over shortly. He handed me one menu for the four of us, we were able to look at the menu for about two minutes and he was asking what we wanted. We drove three hours to try the famous BB King restaurant and the service was absolutely and unbelievably HORRIBLE….
