Loved the food. The best part was the veggies and spices which we could pick ourselves. It was not crowded at all we were seated with minutes. The food was brought quickly. Friendly staff. Be aware of the spices use just a little since they are hot but it’s a must visit restaurant.

Poor Service – No apologies, No excuses. Unfortunately this location of Genghis Grill did not have adequate staffing nor waiters to support a basic crowd on a Tuesday night. As such, there were long waits, no hostess, had to ask someone to come to table to order drinks. Only received drinks towards end of meal. The food was basic, but good. But, they got the bill wrong, and never apologized, just said ‘thanks for the feedback’. Not ‘we appreciate your business, and apologize for any inconvenience’ — just a shrug off like they had better things to do than to help a regular customer. Unfortunately this, like other Winchester eateries is losing a loyal customer due to extremely poor service. Given the restaurant is basically self-service and all the waiters/waitresses have to do is bring you drinks, as the cooks were running the food to tables, I stand in awe at the lack of service. Also, someone needs to fix the men’s room bathroom entrance, just to open the door, hits the bathroom door stall. Please. Fix this place so it can stay in business.
The concept is great and works very well in other parts of the country, but I find that they just don’t pull it off well in this neck of the woods! The food was lackluster at best. The service was slow and scattered, and it seemed there was a lack of communication between servers and cooks.
Love going here! You pick your meat, veggies, you name it and they make it for you. So fun! Great service as well!
