Service awful. Went with two other couples for the first time. We saw waitress three times,drink order,food order, and bill time. We had to go to the bar ourselves and get beer on three separate occasions. When we got our check there had been gratuity already added. On the way out we saw sign that stated after 10 o’clock 15% gratuity is added. We arrived at 8:30 and due to slow service it was after 10 before we got out. Food was pretty good but will not go back. This policy creates an atmosphere for the waitress to stall or just don’t care about customer service because she gets her money anyway!
Long time customer. I have been going to the halfshell for well over 15 years. Over those 15 years their services have gone from great, to fair and now to terrible!! The quality of the food has followed suite. On my recent visit, took over one hour to be served. Then, my food was cold and had to be sent back. The waiter really did not care!! Even the manager, who came over, did little to pacify my poor service. I will not return again!
The food was incredible (as always). Our server tonight (Robert G) had a party of about 15-20 in the private dining room and another large table in the main dining room, along with a couple of small tables… so we just expected our service to be a little slow. Not only was the service fast, but he was super polite and friendly with all of his tables. We’ll definitely be back!
I went there on 9-5-14 and the service was horrible.the waitress never smiled, never said thank you or can I get you something else. A very Nasty attitude. Also, my shrimp were hard!! I was very dissappointed!!
Half – baked. Although the shrimp was huge it was bready and bland. At least the cold rolls we had to ask for were tasty. Our server was obviously a minimalist because he did a minimum amount of serving. We won’t be going back.
Red Beans & Rice!!!!. My mom ordered herself a cup of red beans & rice as a starter. and being the lovely daughter that I am, decided to try a spoonful (or five). After I proceeded to order my own cup. It was amazing! I usually despise beans, but I can’t stop thinking about this dish! On the other hand the onion rings were very bland, and the shrimp on my Fat Boy was not fresh. I did enjoy the atmosphere and service. I plan on taking another trip to Half Shell soon.
