By far the best Pupusas we have ever had – especially since we could see them being prepared from the kitchen, truly talented chef. The horchata was also YUM! none of that concentrated or powdered stuff, the real thing. Caldo de pollo was a bit salty, but served with homemade tortillas. Also, the plantains, fresh and perfectly cooked. Would drive back to Memphis to eat here again.
A small gem of a place that serves authentic Salvadoran and Honduran items mixed with some great standard Mexican fare. Great pupusas! Yummy cheese filled little corn cakes. And the pork chips with plantains are especially good. Enough heat for sure, but there is a depth and complexity to the spiciness. The shredded cabbage slaw served with both dishes was tangy and crunchy. My visit there was handicapped by my no habla. But the server quickly fetched someone with a better grasp of English to assiste in ordering. They obviously appeal to the locals who originate from Homduras and El Salvador, as I was the only non Hispanic dining there and plenty of the pupusas were being well enjoyed at many full tables.
