If you’re lucky enough to live where Nam King is accessible, don’t discredit this gem that has been around forever. I have been eating there for over 20 years, until I moved 600 miles away. They have a dish, Chicken Cantonese, that cannot be duplicated and cannot be beat. I have searched many different states and cities I’ve lived in, the internet, etc. for a place that makes this. It cannot be found. There are countless others who are searching for the same – Chicken Cantonese the way Nam King makes it. Man, oh man. I’ve even considered making a road trip just to have some. Enjoy!

Nam King is a hidden gem. I’ve been frequently giving them business for 12 years! If you do lunch on Sunday, this place will be packed; but sometimes during the week, you might be the only one there. There’s a wide selection of mainly Asian food…especially meat. All of it is tasty, plus it’s a buffet! I’ve been to several Chinese establishments in Memphis, and Nam King remains my favorite after 12 years. Best bang for your buck.
So So. I went there on a Tues eve and it was empty, got the buffet and everything was stale and nasty….Ate 1 small plate. Then I complained and asked if I could order something fresh off the menu….And this dish was fine. They charged me $2 extra for the small buffet plate.
