Really great oysters, friendly service, and good bartenders. I love the fried oysters, my wife likes them grilled, and my only complaint is I want to overeat when I visit!

Pearl’s is a convenient short walk from the Orpheum theater and FedEx Forum, but if you go on a show night it’s going to be packed. The service is friendly an efficient. The food I’ve had has been good and there are several options on the menu. The big downside for me is the portion size. My wife and I both selected different pick two combos of shrimp and we only had three smallish shrimp of each preparation. For $17 I need more than six shrimp and one small side on my plate. I know I sound like a whiny fat kid stating this, but even my 100 pound wife said she was still hungry when we left. When they start putting more on the plate I’ll be back.

Ate here Tuesday night before the play, Dirty Dancing! I have always enjoyed eating here and loved the grilled Oysters, but this time I was NOT impressed at all. Several ordered the grilled oysters, but mine were all black, one of them to the point of not eating, several others were as well. The other guest looked and was good. The server offered to exchange mine out but never come back to do it. I had to flag the server down to order my main meal. and ordered another beer, but never got it.

Well I had the most awful experience this weekend at pearls Oyster House. We were seated and I was excited because I couldn’t wait to get those chargrilled oysters! Well the waitress took our orders and I read the menu and found the oysters with garlic butter and Parmesan on top. When the waitress finally came w our order the first clue that something was wrong is that the oysters had some red sauce on them. So I told her that it was not our order she then says yes it is and that was their signature Cajun garlic butter that made them red in color. So I try one and dear God it was awful…it was barbecue sauce on an oyster.. I paid for them reluctantly because when I complained to the waitress she did t seem to care!

Love this place! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. I have tried the Dynamite Shrimp, Macaroni and Cheese, Coconut Shrimp, Catfish, and Cheese Grits. All delicious, and more menu items I want to try! Another plus for dog lovers is that they allow dogs on their patio. Plan to spend $10-$20 per entree for your food and you will not be disappointed.

I had never had charbroiled oysters before going here and I was not disappointed! Easily my new favorite way to eat oysters! The rest of my wheel was just okay, I can’t even remember what I had for dinner. Just stick to the oysters and you’ll be fine!
