A lot happened on this visit. First off we went here because it says that it’s kid friendly and we have 3 kids under 4. Parking is $5 but if you eat there they will give you a free pass to get out. The place has a great look. On the river, modern, grass covered roof that you can walk up on…it’s pretty cool. We sat down and the menu was really lacking. Their are about 5 apps, 3 salads, & 5 sandwiches to choose from. NO kids menu. The surprise for us was the food we chose and how good it actually was. The kids got the chicken finger appetizer and a side of fries all of which was homemade and top 5 in taste compared to all the places we eat. The wife had a burger that was so good she didn’t even add the veggie toppings that normally come with. She chose a homemade pimento cheese for her burger and LOVED it. I gagged a little while she ate that nasty stuff but otherwise it was a hit :)! I ordered a bologna sandwich that came plain on Texas toast. For all you good southern peeps, this was a man size meal. Everyone ate almost all the food. I think it was $35 for a total tab which is normal for the 4 of us to eat at a simple place like this. Here are the downsides:Minimal staff. I had to get up and take my glass to the bartender for a refill from my table. FYI there were only 3 tables eating lol. Not really kid friendly from a menu or changing station standpoint. Upsides:PriceFood was homemade and freshDifferent scene very close to Beal street
