Used to be good – will it stay good?. The first time I came here in the fall, I fell in love with Robata. Everything was amazing, the food was high quality, and I had a great experience. The second time, I was disappointed by the fatty cut of pork in my ramen. I had to throw most of it away and it was really unappetizing. I assumed it was just a one-time thing. Friday some friends and I went back and it seemed like Robata had really gone downhill. We were there early on a Friday night, but the kitchen reported being out of three or four dishes we tried to order. The cut of pork in my ramen was pretty much inedible! Gross. My friend ordered hot tea and was brought Lipton. Lipton? Not even Lipton Green Tea, just… Lipton. And the first pot was luke warm; she had to send back for another pot. When you’re a ramen bar and you can’t brew Lipton (and why are you serving Lipton?) there is something hilariously wrong. Please, Robata, don’t let your quality slip! I would eat at the restaurant I first visited every week, but if I have another experience like I did on Friday, it will probably be my last.
