Spindini has a great atmosphere and ambiance, but the food was nothing to freak out about. The service was prompt, and they took us early even though we had made a reservation for 30 minutes later from when we arrived. They did however give a free dessert to my friend since we were there to celebrate her bachelorette party! The pizza was dry and not hot enough, and the appetizers were also dry. The bread that they brought out was pretty good. I just thought the pizzas were over priced for how they tasted/how much you got. I wouldn’t go back, but I thought it was a very ritzy, downtown restaurant if that is what you are looking for.
Very poor restaurant in all. Wait staff was good. Food was average to poor. We were a party of 6. The food came out in drips and drabs. By the time I got my food the much of the party had finished. I will not eat there again.
Several trys. I have wanted to like this place for the food since I live in the neighborhood. But it is just not very good. I have sampled the pasta- from a can at best and recently the pizza but just no flavor or pedigree in the cheese . So in short, the food is overpriced and just not inventive or favorable. The bar and bar staff are great so limit your night to just a drink and maybe an app.
Memorial Day Memory. Wife, daughter and her boyfriend and I had the pleasure of eating here Memorial Day evening. Host Vince and waitress Nicke were role models for Suth’n hospitality, good humor and knowledge of both the menu and the wine. The two pizzas we ordered were outstanding and the two wines – a smooth chardonnay and a rich cab (Earthquake) were superb. Though not on the menu, the surprise appetizer of zucchini cakes with aioli sauce was more delicious than most crab cakes we’ve ever had! Even better was the 1/2 price special on both the wine and the pizza. For a light dessert, try the sinful cantaloupe gelato. Highly recommend Spindini to anyone desiring fine dining and 5 star service in a relaxing environment.
Always great! Huge portion sizes for pastas. We usually order te pizza of the day or lobster pizza. Great staff too!
Really enjoyed it. We really enjoyed our dinner Saturday night at Spindini. Our waitress was friendly, although she had a lot of tables assigned to her. That did slow service down a bit. Overally she had just the right amount of attentiveness, but never interrupted us.One person at our table had the scallops and spoke highly of it. I had the spaghetti bolognese. Very good sauce. Tasted a lot like my mom used to make.Prices are high for the type of food you get, but the atmosphere was good and not too loud. The food was good. Our waitress was good.
Terrible frozen food. Terrible food!!! I ordered chicken parmesan and it was frozen chicken out of a bag fried as hard as a rock. The pasta was gummy and tasteless. Crab cake appetizer and green tomatoes also tasted like frozen food. Service started off good then when we ordered waiter disappeared. Rushed in and out in an hour. We should have known when the place was empty to turn around and leave. I’ve had fast food that was better than this. This is NOT fine dining.
