My daughter and I went to lunch at Second Line last week, and I was a little hesitant because of some of the negative reviews. However, we had a very good experience. We were seated right away (we were a bit early and beat the crowd) and immediately provided with water, which was greatly appreciated on such a hot day. Our server was a very pleasant and attentive young man who explained anything we asked about, and checked on us after our order was placed and then delivered promptly. We had the pimento cheese/crawfish/andouille sausage fries and while they were very good, they might have been a little heavy for such a hot day. We also split a Verno sandwich, which is a braised chicken thigh with trimmings, and it was delicious. Nothing like I expected, but very flavorful and tender. The check was delivered when we declined dessert and our payment processed immediately – cannot find a single thing to complain about. It would be a 5 rating except the chairs are somewhat uncomfortable!
