Interesting place with some really different bar food. (And different in a good way.) First, ENT is very unassuming from the outside. In a small strip mall with it’s windows covered in tinted murals, you don’t really see inside. But step in, and it’s an open space with a large bar, tables and a few large booths. They keep it rather dark. The menu isn’t extensive, but from what we’ve had, they’re doing what they have very well. By all means, start with the cornbread. Cooked and served in a cast iron pan, it’s crusty, not sweet and comes with a few jellies and flavored butter. A true Southern version that we liked a lot. I had their version of Nashville Hot Chicken. You choose between a boneless breast, tenders or bites and then your heat level. I had the breast at a heat level 7 of 10. The coating was crispy and the meat still moist. The heat was just right for me. Definitely hot, but not so much that I couldn’t keep eating. They offer some interesting sides. Of special note is the Brussels sprouts. Thinly shaved, fried with bacon bits it’s a welcome change. (Though, given the amount of bacon and drippings used, it’s not a healthy option, just flavorful.) Another item we’ve had is the tenderloin sandwich. Coming on a wonderful baguette roll, it’s not breaded pork, rather thick slices cooked on the flat-top and served with full fixings. A real different option. Fries are real potatoes, not greasy and a good flavor. They offer about 8 local beers on tap, and they’re served nice and cold. Full bar offerings are available. Our service has been great. Offering beer tastes, explaining food options and serving styles and bringing our items and checking in right when needed without bothering our meal. Excellent! Prices are competitive with other places. We like that they’re a local place, making their own food, with good draft options. Worth checking out.
