Wouldn’t go again. Cost $27 for two people to have buffet and tea. Most of food is alright with a few things I didn’t care for. Typical buffet food… potatoes are instant, premade gravy, etc. But there are lots of choices. Food ranged from fried chicken, ribs, macaroni, mashed potatoes, sweet pot casserole, broccoli casserole, turnips, and more. Dessert table had an assortment of pies, cake, and puddings. Overall I just felt for a couple with tight finances, it wasn’t worth the money. For that cost we could have eaten better during our treat to ourselves.
One of my husbands and my favourites. Different meats daily and country vegetables. Great yeast rolls, chicken, ribs, alligator (which is way better than I thought it would be). Crab legs on some nights. All is incredible and to end the meal with some warm pecan pie topped with vanilla ice cream is amazing. Great service and a great family choice. A bit loud at times and can be quite packed.
I have eaten at farmers twice for breakfast and once for lunch. The first time I ate there breakfast buffet it was pretty good overall. Next time I ate there for lunch and it was ok but not what I expected when comparing to the commercials and what others said. I expected it to taste like down home country food cooking. It was just like any other buffet. Today I ate breakfast there and the biscuits where pretty dried out unlike the first visit. The pork chops where kinda cold and bland. However I went back to the bar and got more and they were hotter but taste the same. I also went back for chicken tenders and they also was not that warm. There wasn’t a big crowd there so maybe they didn’t wanna waste any food cooking more until more guest come in. The waitresses and service is great and the place is very clean! Food is over priced… But they did have a good variety of food there. I think it’s hit or miss on the food depending on who’s cooking at the time. My bill for 2 buffets with drinks was almost $23. Left a $5 tip. Kinda upset that a buffet for 2 cost me almost $30.
Went downhill. When I first started going to Farmers Fresh I loved it, the food was great and the people were nice. Unfortunately my last three trips there have been awful. I returned after having a bad time because I thought maybe they were just having a bad day. However, after the 3rd time it is time to throw in the towel. Farmers fresh has now made it common practice to serve burned food. The servers have lost even he lightest shadow of customer service capabilities and for the last 3 visits in a row the salad bar is sporting rotten lettuce. They pull up the breakfast buffet without warning and actually pulled it away from people that were in the process of serving themselves. The server did not tell us this was going to happen and there was no sign indicating when breakfast ended. This is the South, and 10:30 on a Saturday morning is a tad early to pull breakfast when all the other breakfast places are still jammed. Other customers in the restaurant during our visit were also expecting breakfast and were surprised when the breakfast buffet was pulled. After the breakfast was pulled, they didn’t bring out the lunch for another 30 minutes leaving customers confused as to what exactly was going on. The manager is particularly rude and expects the customers to bend over backwards while simultaneously offering only burned food and bad service. When we confronted her about this, she offered no apology and seemed surprised we didn’t know it ended at that time even though there was no sign and we had no warning from the staff. It really is a shame, I have been a regular here since they first opened but even buying my family a meal there 1 to 2 times a week didn’t warrant courtesy from the manager.
Farmer’s. The best buffet anywhere !!!Any negative comments would have to be from people who think the earth is square.
As someone who normally wouldn’t set foot in a buffet, I have had nothing but good experiences here. Great selection for breakfast and lunch and a positive atmosphere make this a must for those with a big appetite and a small budget.
Best southern food buffet, have to try fried corn bread
