For $50 this cake is horrible. First the cake started to tilt before I got it to the table due to the inch of icing put in the middle of the layers. Anybody who makes cakes should know this makes a very unstable cake. The layers in the cake were completely uneven. This is ridiculous. After cutting the cake the center of the cake was not completely done. Notice above and below the icing in the center the cake is not fluffy. Out of 8 kids in the party only one liked the cake. Most took one bite and then refused to eat anymore. For as popular as this bakery is I excepted much more. This was a 1 star cake.
Terrible Customer Service. I went to the bakery today March 14 2015 to get a cake for a very special event. Needless to say I left without a cake because after standing in line for 15 minutes I was overlooked by the cashier when she asked the man behind me what he needed. Once I spoke up to her about me being next she said well I alreasy asked him. Well I will never go there again I will stick with Publix.
Great cakes, bad employees. Honestly as great as the sweets are here (especially their red velvet cupcakes) it doesn’t make up for the lack of courtesy from their employees. I have had only one nice employee help me in the several years I’ve gone to the bakery and have decided it’s not worth the trip across town anymore. Julia, please hire nicer people!!
Fantastic cakes, cookies, and other various treats. Julia’s did our wedding cake and it was both beautiful and delicious. My wife loves it when I surprise her with something special from them.
The cakes, pies and treats are great but the staff seems preoccupied and inconvenienced when I’ve been there. It seems as though I am bothering them when placing my order. I work with the public and know it can be stressful but you have to keep a smile on your face and serve. The products would be that much better if the experience was pleasant.
Eh.. Honestly I was not impressed. When we went there for cupcakes the selection was very limited, and then the cupcakes were dry! The icing was also not very great. Next time I want cupcakes I will go to Gigi’s.
Great Cakes!. I am new to the area and decided to try Julia’s out as an effort to calm my needy sweet-tooth. When I first walked into this place I knew I was in heaven! It was very tough to decide what to buy (they even had samples of three different cakes for people to try); I wanted one of everything in store! I finally made the decision to buy a strawberry cake square – it was so good that I wish I would have bought the whole darn cake! The cake was so moist and the icing was perfectly sweet with a very pleasant stawberry flavor. I highly recommend this place to all in search of the perfect cake! I live in Franklin, but this place is well worth the drive!
